Microsoft-NEMISA cloud challenge rules

Official Contest Rules

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible to participate in The Microsoft Azure  – NEMISA Datathon League, you must be a registered participant of one of the following NEMISA Hackathon (Please register here) physical locations:

  • North West (Mahikeng Digital Innovation Hub)
  • Gauteng (University of Johannesburg (Technopreneurship Centre)
  • Free State (Botshabelo Innovation Hub)
  • Mpumalanga (Vulingqondo Hub) and
  • Limpopo (MLab – Polokwane)
  • North West will virtually host hackers from Northern Cape, however for the Cloud Skills Challenges, participants based in the Northern Cape must select their province as indicated in the team selection.
  • Gauteng will host Mpumalanga and Western Cape hackers, however for the Cloud Skills Challenges, participants based in the Western Cape and Mpumalanga must select their province as indicated in the team selection.
  • Free State will host KwaZulu Natal, however for the Cloud Skills Challenges, participants based in the KwaZulu Natal must select their province as indicated in the team selection.
  • Limpopo will host Eastern Cape Hackers however for the Cloud Skills Challenges, participants based in the Eastern Cape must select their province as indicated in the team selection.

The National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa was established as a non-profit institute for education in terms of the Companies Act (1973) and is listed as a schedule 3A public entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (1999).

 

NEMISA derives its mandate from the Department Communications and Digital Technologies which was formed subsequent to the merger of the Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services (DTPS) and the Department of Communication.
